Payton received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Winnipeg in 2020, placing on the Dean’s Honours List as a “student of highest distinction” in 2018, 2018, and 2020 and was awarded the “academic proficiency scholarship” upon graduating. Payton received her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2024 and was called to bar in June of 2025.
Throughout her time in law school, Payton volunteered and acted as program coordinator for the Saskatchewan Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada and in her final year, she was chosen to partake in the clinical practicum at Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC).
Payton articled at a general practice firm in North Battleford where she received experience in family law, maintenance enforcement proceedings, and estate planning.
Payton joined our firm in June of 2025 and practices in the area of Child Protection Law. She has appeared in multiple court points across the province.
Payton is a member of the Counsel for Children’s Roster, the Law Society of Saskatchewan, and the Canadian Bar Association.
